浅手

あさで【浅手】

a light [slight, minor] wound; 〔骨に達しない〕 a flesh wound.

●戦場では救護班が来ても浅手の兵士は後回しにされた. Even when the ambulance corps did come to the battlefield they left the lightly wounded until last [they postponed attending to soldiers not seriously wounded].

●幸い傷は浅手だったからまもなく私は戦線に復帰した. Fortunately it was only a minor wound [I was only slightly wounded] and I soon returned to the front.
